ABSOLUTELY EXQUISITE SUBSTANTIAL REGAL ANTIQUE VICTORIAN, c.1950, AUSTRALIAN OPAL AND SEED PEARL NECKLACE PENDANT - BROOCH IN SOLID 14K CARAT GOLD. In my opinion the photos of this piece do not do it the justice that it deserves. I believe it is much better in person and wish you could hold it in your own hands to see its splendor. This exceptional estate piece holds Nine (9) genuine Australian Opal gemstones, the largest in the center measuring approximately 7 x 10 mm oval. Although hard to capture in the photos, they exude vibrant stunning colors of Peacock Green, Fire Reds, Blue-Violets, and even some Yellow Tones no matter which way they hit the light. The are also genuine Seed Pearls adorning this regal piece, a signature of Victorian Design. The piece is composed of solid 14K yellow Gold with antiqued patina and has lovely scrolling Filigree work and three Dangle Drops, each adorned with a pearl, which add beauty and movement when worn. The piece can be worn as both a pendant through the built in loop at the top (just add your favorite Gold chain or it would look lovely with a fine strand of pearls or gemstones) and as a brooch with the pin backing. The piece is quite a find measuring approximately 2 ½ inches long by about 1 ¼ inches wide and is in beautiful estate condition. This piece came from a fine estate collection and it is estimated that it dates circa 1950’s. A truly remarkable antique piece that will be treasured for a lifetime and become part of the heirlooms that you pass along down through the generations of your own family.
