A wonderful example of early Period Jewelry. This Antique Georgian Emerald and Rose Cut Diamond ring dates to the early 19th Century. It contains Twelve (12) Antique Rose Cut Diamonds with their characteristic glimmering facets. The center holds the original natural Emerald, measuring about 4 x 11 mm. The setting is beautifully constructed with pierced openwork, hand detailing and applied ornamental sides. The setting is composed of Silver topped Rose Yellow Gold that tests to be about 18ct in content. There is a rich yellow Gold frame around the Emerald that appears to be high carat. The construction of the setting is most beautiful and has a lovely soft patina acquired over the years. The entire ring measures about just under 1 inch in length by about ¾ inch wide and is in beautiful estate condition. It is an approximate ring size 8 ¼ and could be resized by your jeweler if needed. These early Antique beauties just do not come along nearly often enough these days. A wonderful Antique Period Piece.
