A gorgeous late Georgian - Regency to early Victorian Period Antique Citrine Pearl Necklace in 14K Gold Cannetille with Seed Pearls. This natural faceted citrine is amazing with so much sparkle and light. The citrine measures about 12 x 18mm oval and has a natural inclusion that can be seen toward the back of the stone. Completely surrounding the citrine are genuine Seed Pearls. Additionally there are two more baroque pearls in the frame. The bezel of the pendant is made of 14K yellow Gold with beautiful antique cannetille work, a process where very fine wire is fashined into filigree and rosettes to form the most intricate hand-made patterns. Overall the pendant measures about 1 3/16 inch long with bail by about 7/8 inch wide. It is in overall lovely estate condition with loss to two of the delicate cannetille rosettes mentioned for accuracy as I always do. This is such an exchanting piece with the classic look you see in Rennaisance period painting. A wonderful find.
