An exquisite rare piece of original Art Nouveau Period Jewelry is this lovely Antique Diamond Brooch, circa 1890. The Art Nouveau Period was at the tail end of the Victorian Jewelry Period, late 19th century and pieces are beautifully crafted, designed, and quite rare. This diamond pin is fashioned in the form of a triple flower bouquet done in 14K Gold. In the center of each flower is an antique mine cut diamond with beautiful sparkle and life. It is estimated that there is about .20ctw in diamonds in the piece (+/-). The gold has a lovely darkened patina as many pieces of the period had manipulated gold finishes that add to the character and feel of the jewelry. The detailing and relief of the brooch is stunning. Overall the brooch measures about 1 3/8 inches wide by about 1 1/4 inches long and is in lovely estate condition. The pin back is original. It is estimated to date circa 1890 and is a rare find.
