A Superb Antique Victorian Garnet Necklace, Vintage 1800s Bohemian Garnet Jewelry. This is the most outstanding antique Victorian Era garnet necklaces that I have had the pleasure of offering. The entire necklace is encrusted with stunning deep rich red Bohemian garnets. The garnets are faceted in antique rose cuts that glimmer in the light. The necklace is linked together with seven main stations with nine (9) dangling drops. Even the clasp is covered with garnets and is original. The centerpiece is an impressive approximate 2 1/8 inches long by about 1 inch from side to side. The necklace is about 15 7/8 inches long. It dates to the 19th century, 1800's Victorian Era and is in lovely vintage condition. The setting is what was typically used to set these garnets in Europe in the day, which is a low carat gold alloy or gold gilt that gives a romantic look and feel to the overall piece. This is a truly exceptional antique piece of jewelry.
