A Superb Antique Gold Signet Ring, Vintage Art Nouveau circa 1890, with Ornate Floral Detailing in 14K Gold. Art Nouveau jewelry was only produced for a very short period of time around 1890 to 1900's. Thus original pieces are quite rare today. The workmanship was exceptional and designs reflect natural motifs and graceful flowing lines. This is a wonderful example from the period. Dating circa 1890 to 1900, this piece has graceful floral - leaf form sides with characteristic Art Nouveau lines. It appears as a lily and leaf pattern to me. It is composed of 14K yellow Gold, as tested and is marked with the maker's mark of "A" with a star. The ring has a gorgeous look and feel as Art Nouveau pieces often do. The gold is silky smooth to the finger and will be a joy to wear this piece. Overall this ring measures about just over 1/2 inch long by about 3/4 inch wide and is in lovely antique condition. Ring Size: approximately 7 (could be resized by your jeweler or ask em about using mine before shipping). It is about 5.2 grams in weight. A truly lovely and rare find.
