A Superb Pair of Antique Sapphire Earrings, Vintage Art Deco, circa 1930, Gorgeous Ceylon Blue Sapphires in Gold Settings. These earrings hold a most beautiful array of ceylon blue sapphire gemstones in a concentric cluster design. The sapphires are all faceted to catch the light and I wish that you could see the sparkle that they have in person. The center sapphire is about 3mm in diameter and is surrounded by 20 additional sapphire gems. They are all beautifully set in gold settings, unmarked but test just below 14K. The first ring around the center stone appears to be silver with a deep patina, as it was common to mix silver and gold in these antique pieces. Overall these earrings measure about 5/8 inch in diameter and close securely with screw style backings that can be worn by those with pierced or unpiereced ears. One could have them converted to post backings is so desired but wear beautifully as they are. In beautiful vintage condition.
